2023 Boys Lacrosse Spring Season
2023 marks the 2nd official Spring Lacrosse Season for the Santa Ynez Valley Hotshots.  By all accounts we had a very successful first season in the Valley and look to continue to build upon what we've accomplished so far.
This Spring we will schedule independent games with Santa Barbara Hotshots, SLO 805 Sharks, and Bakersfield Rams. All of these programs are true community-based programs like us.

New players (have never played lacrosse before) are required to have attended an Ignite Beginner's Clinic and a few Training Sessions so they are adequately prepared to experience some success in a competitive setting.  We also use this time to make sure the player likes the sport before the parents invest in the necessary equipment to play.

7U: "Flames" Tuesdays 4:15-5:15 PM

12U/10U:  Tuesdays 5:30-7 PM and Thursdays 4:15-5:45 PM (times subject to change)
1st Practice: Tues. 3/6

Saturdays, March - May 13 (not every weekend)
6-8 Games

Home Fields:  Dunn School
Away Fields: SBHS, SMHS, DPHS, Elings Park

There are fees involved with Spring League participation. These fees help our organization to reduce the cost of team uniforms, helmet decals, League Team Fees, referees, field lining and equipment, liability insurance, and coaches travel expenses and stipend for their time.

12U/10U Player Fee: $295
7U Player Fee: $250
All Hotshots players (K-8) must provide their own lacrosse equipment for the Spring Season.
  • Stick
  • Helmet
  • Shoulder Pads: Must meet NOCSAE ND200 standard for commotio cordis)
  • Arm Pads
  • Gloves
  • Lacrosse/Football/Soccer Cleats - No Sneakers at practices or games
  • Mouthpiece (mandatory for all practices and games)
  • Athletic Cup  (optional/recommended)

Splitting up the Player Fee into 2 payments is possible however we ask that the full fee be paid during registration if able. Refunds or partial refunds are made on a case by case basis.  $100 of the player fee is non-refundable as it is used to pay for unrecoverable hard costs like league fees, uniforms, etc. that are placed in January.

Scholarships are available and granted on a case by case basis. If you would like to donate money to be put towards scholarshipping athletes, please contact us.

All players must provide their own lacrosse equipment to participate in the Hotshots Spring Program.

Hotshots loaner equipment is designed to be used for "Try Lacrosse" opportunities.  This equipment is necessary to have on hand so we can come to your school and introduce the lacrosse to new players and help grow the game!

We believe it's important to invest in your son's lacrosse experience and we can help direct you to many affordable options.

In addition to lacrosse equipment, all players must have a molded mouthpiece and lacrosse/football/soccer cleats to be worn at every practice and every game.  Athletic cups are recommended but optional.
