Hotshots Flames Fall Practices are specifically designed for the beginning player Ages 5-8.  All boys must wear a helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, and gloves along with a mouthpiece and lacrosse/soccer/football cleats (no baseball).

 

Hotshots primary commitment is teaching the game of lacrosse while providing a great experience and instilling a love for the game. We maintain a positive environment at all times, and our highly qualified instructors help each participant have a great time building friendships, lacrosse skills, and a passion for the game. Our coaches help youngsters build self-confidence and athletic skills while having a blast in our programs.

 

SYV Flames are under the direction of Hotshots Director Andy Chalupa while Santa Barbara Dons Head Coach John Keogh heads the SB Flames.  Both are among the area’s best teachers of young athletes in Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley. Coach Andy and Coach John are eager to share their knowledge with the next generation of lacrosse enthusiasts. Our Flames Lacrosse Program offers a balanced, fun-filled experience for those trying to learn the game.

All players should provide their own lacrosse equipment to participate in the Flames program.  However, if you need to borrow equipment for our Fall Train & Play to get the sizing right before you order, we can lend

Hotshots loaner equipment is designed to be used for either those in serious financial need or for "Try Lacrosse" opportunities.  Our loaner equipment is necessary to have on hand so we can come to your school and introduce the lacrosse to new players and help grow the game!

In addition to lacrosse equipment, all players must have a molded mouthpiece and lacrosse/football/soccer cleats to be worn at every practice and every game.  Athletic cups are recommended but not mandatory to wear.
